Msgr. Brunkan celebrates 60th anniversary of ordination

GREENE — Please join the parish families of, St. Mary’s – Greene, St. Mary’s – Roseville and Holy Name – Rockford as we celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Ordination of Msgr. Walter Brunkan. A reception will be held at the Greene Community Center on Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 1 – 4 p.m.

Msgr. Brunkan was Ordained in St. Raphael Cathedral in Dubuque on February 4, 1956. His first three years as a priest were spent as an Associate at Immaculate Conception in Charles City. In 1959, he was appointed Assistant Principal for Waterloo Columbus Catholic School. In 1969, he became the Principal and Executive Coordinator of Columbus until 1991, when he was assigned to St. Mary’s, Greene. He currently serves the three parishes of Greene, Roseville and Rockford. No gifts are requested except your presence.
