ACCW Membership Sunday
Dear Catholic Women in the
Archdiocese of Dubuque,
Membership Sunday for the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women (ACCW) is held annually near the feast of Our Lady of Good Counsel on 26 April. I encourage every Catholic woman over the age of 18 to consider becoming a member, if you haven’t already.
The ACCW are generous supporters of the priests and seminarians of the Archdiocese of Dubuque, especially through their good prayers, and gifts of appreciation, such as an ordination gift of a Jerusalem Cross stole to each newly ordained.
The ACCW sponsors the Beauty in Christ Conference every January, which is an opportunity for women of the Archdiocese to be nourished in their faith. This year their annual archdiocesan convention will be held on 12 October 2019, in Hiawatha. Additionally, they will be sponsoring Beauty Alive evenings throughout the Archdiocese in September and October, as well as a one-day retreat for women, Fearless, Faithful, Feminine on 26 October at St. Mary Parish, Waverly. I encourage you to attend these events as a way to grow in your faith.
