Mr. & Mrs. Richard Holschlag celebrate 60th anniversary

NEW HAMPTON — Richard and Rose (Burgart) Holschlag, New Hampton, will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on July 11, 2020. They were married on July 11, 1960, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Alta Vista. As newlyweds, they farmed with Richard’s dad, Harold. Richard also worked at the Creamery in Fredericksburg and later at John Deere in Waterloo. Life’s path brought them to begin R.C. Holschlag Bins Sales in 1968, and later on investments and rental properties. Together they built a successful business by always working together as a team, teaching their children a strong work ethic and love of family.

Richard and Rose are proud parents of six children: Yvonne (deceased), Joe (Ronda), Bob (Brenda), Paul (Sherri), Sue (Nick), and Dave (Jodi). They have been blessed with 23 grandchildren and more blessings came with 25 great-grandchildren.

We would love to celebrate with all of you, but due to coronavirus, and our wish for everyone to stay safe and healthy; we will be having a private family gathering.

In lieu of the celebration that we had planned, we are asking you to send a card (no gifts please) to help them enjoy this milestone! Richard & Rose Holschlag, 502 W Hamilton, New Hampton, IA 50659.
